Here we demonstrate how CABAM can be used to do date difference comparisons. This simply means that we take one date and we subtract it from another date and compare whether the difference is within a certain tolerance.
For example, I can only create a purchase order before I receive the goods, so that date for purchase order should come before the receive goods date. In the case in the video, however, it comes in after the receive goods date. The Date Difference will check these 2 dates and it will say there is an error here because the dates have come in the wrong order.
See the use cases below
Payment Date Before PO Date
If the payment date is before the PO date, the payment might have been made before a purchase order was even created on the system. This could indicate that the process is not being followed.
Delivery Date Before Sales Order Confirmation Date
If the delivery date is before the Sales order date, the delivery might have been made before a sales order was even created on the system. This could indicate that the process is not being followed.
