I will demonstrate how CABAM can be used to perform completeness testing. In other words, checking that all the transactions that are required are in the system. Completeness is a very difficult objectives for management to ensure, but is important as it could lead to severe revenue leakage.
For example, if we pay rent on the 25th of every month and we’ve paid it for 2 months, but then in the third month, the payment has not gone through. CABAM will flag this as incomplete and will mark it as an anomaly. If the payment has gone through, but is much smaller than the intended amount, CABAM will once more flag this as an anomaly. This can also work if we are receiving the rent and haven’t sent an invoice yet.
